Lot-O-Tumbler Barrel

A spare or replacement barrel for the Lot-O-Tumbler Single Barrel Vibratory Tumbler or the Lot-O-Tumbler Double Barrel Vibratory Tumbler. Coarse grit scratches the barrels just as it scratches the rocks. Once the barrel is scratched, the scratch can trap small bits of grit. This grit can, and of course will, come out when you are polishing the rocks. Polishing is actually scratching the rocks with very, very fine scratches. At this step that tiny piece of grit is many times larger than the grit used to polish the rocks. Instead of polishing, this piece of grit scratches the rocks all over again so they take on a dull look instead of a shiny polish. For achieving the best polish on rocks you should use an older barrel for the grind and cut down steps and a separate barrel, used only for polishing, for the polish step.
