"into bugs"
I can't say enough about this product. I can't carry a microsope around on excursions, but this loupe is conveniently accessible from my pocket for me to do an on-the-spot examination of insects, spiders, and other small creatures of nature. The lens are of superb quality. It is well made. The lanyard is comfortable and good to use with a quick release buckle. I JUST LOVE IT! intobugs

Great quality for the price Nov 19, 2011
By Maximus Decimus Meridius I looked at the higher end loupes and eventually bought this one. I compared Pentax, Nikon along with Bausch & Lomb, this one has the larger field of view and good quality optics for half the price and it comes with a quick release lanyard. You will be satisfied.

Perfect for even the amateur Feb 23, 2010
By Alene J. Backis I am new at using a loupe. We are going through my late mothers jewelry and trying to figure out what we have. I am always leery of buying something I know little about, but this loupe works very well and does a fantastic job at viewing those small markings that are invisible to the naked eye. It feels solid and not cheap. I do wish it came with a case for storage but I am completely pleased with the item itself. The viewing area seems large enough where you are not straining to see. And you can wear it around your neck and take it with you if you are "hunting" at rummage sales. I believe you'll be pleased with it.

A good, cheap, loupe Aug 06, 2011
By Arthur L I'm happy with the products from BelOMO that I've bought.
I have both the 10x and the 20x loupes. For my purposes, the 10x is much more useful. I buy and sell old fountain pens every now and then, so I'm always looking for small (and large) flaws and identifying marks in them. 10X is just the right magnification to see all that's wrong with a pen before I buy. And it's cool to have that much magnifying power in a small package. (And of course it's cool to go walking around with a loupe around your neck, looking like you know what you're doing!)
The 10x is optically very well made, and the "holder" is pretty rugged, too. I've compared this loupe side-by-side with a friend's Schneider 10X (My previous magnifier was a Schneider 4X), and I could see very few differences. The differences I saw (the Schneider had an absolutely flat, perfectly color-corrected focal plane, while the BelOMO had some MINOR, almost invisible, aberrations) were not worth $200 to me. f you want a relatively cheap loupe that works well, go with a BelOMO.
I bought mine with the lanyard, which also works well. I wish it was about 6 inches longer, for a looser hanging fit around my neck.
