Way TOO much magnification for most uses. Dec 08, 2010
By Owens Valley Rockhound

This is a great color correct lens but make sure you really need this much magnification. You must have a severe need for a 20x because it has such high magnification.
You use a 20x loupe to examine the edge of razor or knife blades, extremely small crystals, the laser inscription on a diamond. A 20x MAGNIFIER IS BASICALLY A MICROSCOPE AND THEY ARE NOT FOR GENERAL PURPOSE MAGNIFICATION.
And make sure you use it correctly. Loupes are held right at the eye not away from the eye. Then the object to be viewed is held about 1/2 inch away. Or you have to take the loupe, AND YOUR EYE, down to about a 1/2 inch away from the object. If the object appears blurry it's because you aren't using it correctly.

20x loupe Oct 15, 2008
By ckbao Excellent loupe, with true 20x magnifying power, gives very clear view. Not difficullt to control and get the best view. Even though the display image is for 7x-loupe, the right 20x-loupe was delivered as ordered.
Small but Powerful Jun 30, 2010
By SGR This loupe is very small as mentioned in another review; there should be something in the photo to give the buyer a sense of scale (such as a dime). That said, it is a powerful 20X loupe with crystal clear magnification. Spend the time needed to get used to the size and reward yourself with a great tool.

not telling Jan 28, 2011
By kangaroojk The seller should warn the consumer that the picture is not the actual size, cause the merchandise was much more smaller than the posted picture. You need to read the details carefully. Difficult to use. Beware.

CRAP May 29, 2009
By Lisa S. Jones

I received this today and it is no bigger than the tip of my pinkie. You need a magnifying glass to see it. I put it up to my eye and saw nothing but blur. Why would anyone sell this? It's good for nothing. A total ripoff!
